The PGL CCS Kick-off Season came to an end on Sunday evening, after the LAN finals consisting of six matches hosted on the PGL stage at the Polyvalent Hall during DreamHack Bucharest 2015 (April 24 – 26). One of the main differences between the Grand Final and the previous matches was that a Best-of-Five (BO5) system would be utilized, as opposed to the BO3 system used before, one where TSM started out with a one map advantage.
The first map of the series was quickly claimed by TSM with a 16-11 score. But Fnatic fought back and evened things out by winning the second one, also with 16-11. In the third matchup, TSM took the lead and almost brought everything to an end, when all of the sudden Fnatic began winning round after round. However, it took just one mistake on Fnatic’s part and TSM settled things for good after an intense 1 vs 1 situation, thus claiming the $40.000 and the title of champions of the PGL CS:GO Championship Series Kick-off Season.
